Privacy Policy
TĀPR ("we," "us") is building a device to help adults taper off vaping. This policy explains what we collect through tapr.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Confirmation that you are 21 or older
- Your answer to "Which best describes you?" (your vaping status)
- Whether you want to hear about future TĀPR research studies
- Any optional answers you give about your vaping habits
We don't use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To send you updates about TĀPR, including launch and early-access news
- To improve and develop our product
- To contact you about research studies, only if you opted in
- To understand our community in aggregate (for example, "most of our waitlist wants to quit"). Aggregate statistics don't identify you, and we may share them with investors, partners, or researchers.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run the waitlist, such as our form provider, email provider, and cloud storage. They can only use your information to provide services to us.
- Partners or research collaborators, only with your permission.
- If required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- If TĀPR is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. This policy will continue to apply to it.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share your vaping-related information for advertising, without your consent.
Your vaping and health-related information
Your vaping status and quitting goals may be considered health information under some state laws. We collect it only to improve TĀPR and to let you know about relevant updates and studies. We won't sell it or share it with third parties for their own use without your consent.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See the information we have about you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Stop sending you emails (or use the unsubscribe link in any email)
Email joshua@tapr.ai and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we'll honor them.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while the waitlist is active and for as long as it's useful for launching TĀPR, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Security
We use reputable service providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Age requirement
TĀPR is for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has signed up, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and change the date above, and for significant changes we'll email you. If a change materially affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it.
